My Faith Journey and How It Shapes My Work
I know that you may have questions about my faith and how it influences my coaching approach. While I don't belong to a specific church or denomination, my Christian values are at the core of everything I do. My relationship with Jesus Christ is central to my life, and I continue to grow in faith every day.
I use the NIV Bible, which holds my personal journey through the years, with margins full of notes and underlined passages reflecting both my struggles and growth.
A Personal Journey of Faith
I was raised in a Christian home, exposed to both Catholic and Methodist teachings, which shaped my early faith. As I grew older and moved, religion took a back seat, but during my time in the Army and in college, I reconnected with my faith through the Catholic church. Yet, I eventually diverged from certain practices, realizing that my faith required a more personal connection with God.
For me, a relationship with God doesn’t require a mediator. I believe that Jesus Christ offers direct access to God, and I turn to Him in prayer. I’ve come to understand that the Bible is not a perfect document, and the interpretations and translations over time may have been influenced by human agendas. However, through prayer and reflection, I trust that God speaks to us through the Bible and that His truth can be found, especially when we approach it with an open heart.
The Shift Back to Christianity
After exploring various spiritual paths, I came to realize that none of them brought me closer to God in the way that Jesus Christ could. My faith was rekindled as I recognized the spiritual battle between good and evil in the world. This renewed connection with Christ has deepened my Christian values and strengthened my faith.
Each day, I walk with gratitude and prayer, asking for God’s guidance to live with love, not fear. Prayer, biblical meditation, and gratitude practices are a part of my daily routine—tools that help me maintain peace, clarity, and focus in a chaotic world.
What This Means for You
I share this journey not to impose my beliefs but to show you who I am and how my faith shapes my work. I respect that we each have our own path, and I understand that your beliefs may be different from mine.
If you’re wondering if our values align, I want you to know that I stand for compassion, forgiveness, and living in alignment with God’s purpose. My faith drives me to support you in finding the balance and peace you deserve, without the pressure of doing it all on your own.
However, I do not seek to impose my values on you, nor do I condemn anyone who holds different beliefs. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can feel understood and empowered to make changes that align with your own values and journey.
Whether you're looking to deepen your faith or simply find work-life harmony, I am here to guide you in a way that’s authentic, empathetic, respectful and in service to you.
Blessings!
