Does this sound like you?

Crazy long work weeks! Corporations run 24/7 and so do you

There is not enough time for everything at work & at home! Barely any time for meals - you eat on the run or while multi-tasking. Definitely no time for a good night's sleep, to cook a healthy meal, to exercise, or to sit quietly.

You can't stop thinking about work

You are scattered and unfocused at home because your mind is at work. Worries, "should have" / "could have," creative solutions keep you up at night. You have to keep yourself busy just to feel okay. You can't relax with all the pressure you place on yourself.

Body is just a taxi for the mind

Even though you are barely acknowledging your physical limitations (yes I know you have the willpower to push through any discomfort your body dishes out) - the stress, rushing and lack of sleep are physically impacting your daily life:

  • Running on fumes despite all the caffeine & sugar consumed to keep energy up through the day. Feeling tired and wired from all the stimulants in your system, so it is hard to unwind and relax without a drink in the evening or a sleep aid to fall asleep.
  • Food choices based on speed & convenience (and too much caffeine, antacids & aspirin) have led to digestive issues.
  • Feeling crappy (the technical term for brain fog, irritability, headaches, tightness) from being spread too thin & holding it all together.
  • Quality of work and attention to detail are starting to suffer because you can't focus and think clearly.

Over the years, the wear and tear on the body seems a little bit worse and weight gain is a little bit more. But isn't that normal?

Discomfort and exhaustion are price of success and normal part of aging

Every year you've gone to the doctor for an annual physical to get the insurance discount. And every year the doctor has told you the same thing - reduce stress, eat healthier, exercise as you have borderline elevated blood pressure or blood work result. Yet, you have felt good enough, so not taken it seriously.

God has recently opened your eyes & reset your view of health

As you've witnessed the struggles of someone close to you with their health, you are reminded of the preciousness of life. A new fear has come to your awareness - what if your health deteriorates so you can't support your family. (Or worse, you die prematurely.) You want to restore your energy so you can make great memories with loved ones. You don't want there to be more flowers from work at your funeral than friends and family in attendance.

Dying early from a job isn't worth it.

Say goodbye to exhaustion and hello to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle

Start making your well-being a priority amidst the demands of work and home. Put more of your energy toward your core principles & values, so you can thrive and flourish as God intends.

Faith

You are starting to recognize that your Christian sense of purpose, duty & responsibility to family have been twisted by modern societal pressures. You want to live a more balanced and natural lifestyle.

Family

Time flies and you can't miss out on any more in your loved ones lives. You love your family (that's why you already do so much for them). You want to enjoy the little things in life with them. You want your kids to have great memories of you as they become adults. You want to be able to tell funny and touching stories of the love you and your spouse share at your golden anniversary.

Freedom

Good health is needed to have the energy to be yourself - express creativity, explore nature, investigate & learn new things, complete that home improvement project, develop skills in a hobby, visit with friends, volunteer in the church, or help your neighbors.

You've felt healthy enough, so this hasn't been a priority

You've tried a few things over the years and eat a lot less junk food than before

  • To boost energy after waking up tired, you rely on diet soda or black coffee. (I'm not judging - eliminating the sugar-filled soda, fancy barista drinks and non-dairy creamer counts as being a better-for-you choice.)
  • To be healthier, stopped going to the donut shop in the morning for coffee and a breakfast goodie. (Tell the truth - it was really to save time & money? Less fat & sugar was a side benefit.)
  • To avoid running on fumes (and to save the time from eating breakfast & lunch?), graze through the day from the snack drawer at your desk. Candy, cookies & chips have been swapped out for granola, fiber or protein bars or downsized to 100-calorie packs.
  • To save calories and slow the weight gain, switched from 2-3 glasses of wine or full-bodied beer per night to skinny mixed drinks, shots or light beer
  • To be healthier, reduced the amount of fried food and fast food when pick up up dinner on the way home from work
  • You tried the gym ... but that was too much time and inconvenience. And you didn't care for it. Why spend more time away from home? Walking the dog, playing with the kids or doing chores is more your speed for physical activity and preferred use of time.

Based on how you feel, you know your approach has not been enough. To boost energy and reduce disease risk, you need:

More impact

More nutrition

More movement

Each solution worked for the narrow short-term problem you were solving & did not grow into broader habits.

You are still eating too many foods that don't adequately support your body's needs. (I'm not talking about green smoothies and kale salads - just less processed foods and ingredients that trigger inflammation, strain the body, and feed your stress.)

You are still very sedentary and need a greater variety of movement to improve blood flow and reduce stiffness & tension.

More sleep

More nourishment

Less stress

You can't keep cutting back on sleep or adding activities - some need to be stopped or done differently. Rest is needed to give your body enough time for repairs & maintenance.

Relationships (including the one with God) and personal interests nourish your spirit. Being so focused on work, you are not fully energizing from the richness of life.

Adapt behaviors & mindset about work to reduce pressure, tension and worry. Also, there are stress reduction techniques that you can add to your toolbox if something gets you wound up and tense.

I can hear the thoughts running through your mind...

"This sounds great in theory, but how do I do this without any time or energy? If I reduce the hours I work, how do I do it so I am not creating a risk of financial insecurity for my family? If I take time away from home & family, I'll never hear the end of it. They already are on me about not giving them enough time. I'm already barely sleeping - where will the time come from?"

That's the point of this program. We'll find the time and energy so you can start making changes.

CULTIVATE GRACE & GRIT OVERVIEW

This is a quick-start program, designed to give you a clear path to restore your energy & reduce stress at work. Health is a true measure of what is working and what isn't.

Stop:

  • ignoring early warning signs of declining health
  • feeling drained
  • neglecting your well-being and struggling to prioritize self-care
  • being overwhelmed by all the conflicting information about health online
  • feeling you are too busy to be healthy

Start to find relief from:

  • the grind and daily strain of high pressure & stress at work
  • wear and tear on body & mind from stress
  • having limited energy to pray, rest, or enjoy personal interests

Face your fears of a major health diagnosis & your worries of not being there for your family. Through small changes that work with your crazy busy lifestyle, adopt healthy habits that take steps toward your long-term goals of being healthy for loved ones long term & improved work-life harmony.

Through one on one coaching, take tiny steps toward having the energy to pursue your happiness

Based on your health goals & priorities, adopt tiny habits (seconds to 3 minutes to accomplish each time), slowly transform your daily routine to include activities like:

  • more sleep each night
  • slowing down to eat and taking breaks during the work day
  • daily prayer time
  • connecting with loved ones over a relaxing meal
  • finding time & energy to enjoy personal interests

Reduce work-related stress through pro-active strategies - like figuring out how to minimize communication challenges, reduce political tension or improve personal productivity. Relieve stress in the moment with prayer, micro-breaks and other tactics to reduce tension & discomfort. As you change your relationship with work, it enables more time & energy for faith, family & freedom.

Feel more rested & connected with God & yourself. Allow His will to guide you when you are struggling and feel powerless to do the right thing for yourself or your loved ones. Be empowered through implementing these changes that bring you closer to living a life in alignment with what matters most to you.

This is a first step toward stress recovery and work-life harmony.

What makes this program work...

  • I know how the strain & pressure of doing it all can lead to a stress-induced health crisis. (Hi! I'm Sharon if we haven't met before!) I was too stuck & stubborn to change and landed in the hospital, which started me on my stress recovery journey. I studied and experimented with all sorts of diet, supplements, exercises. I found what worked for me and was able to get off of the blood pressure medication (this is not an outcome I can guarantee for clients).
  • If you are unsure how to juggle work with your new plans, you have a mentor that can help you navigate the challenge. I am  a former corporate executive who has led teams of hundreds in her downline and mentored dozens of leaders through high pressure and demanding situations. Together, we can craft an appropriate strategy to proactively address stress at work and any hurdles that arise as you re-adjust your priorities and your ways of working.
  • I believe that you are bio-individual. God made you to be unique and wonderful - even the composition of your gut bacteria is different from your family members. This means that only you and God know what will lead to your optimal health. Getting more in tune with natural biological rhythms (like wake/sleep, action/rest, breath, eat/fast) & eating more real food, you learn more about your needs and are better able to identify what can be impactful for you. With tiny habit changes, these slowly lead to major transformations.
  • This is a faith-based program that incorporates spiritual practices, like prayer, as part of your transformation. You will shift slowly from a work-centered identity to a faith-based one. As you connect to Holy Spirit more at work and through the day, you invite God's will to work through you when you are struggling or feel powerless to do the right thing for yourself or your loved ones. As you cultivate grace and grit, you'll discover a life of balance.

How much time will this program require?

You'll get 6 hour-long coaching calls with me, valued at $960. These sessions will be across 8 weeks, with email support in the off weeks.

Since you are managing every minute of your day currently - I am being very transparent about the expected time commitment.

  • Before we start working together, there is a questionnaire to help make our time productive. This will require about 30 minutes to complete.
  • As we work together, you will be prioritizing your time and energy a bit differently so you can invest in yourself.
  • Based on the amount of time you are willing dedicate for well-being and self-care, we'll ramp up slowly, starting with tiny habits first. The commitment is minimal - 5-10 minutes a day.

Are you going to force me to adopt a specific diet? Exercise regimen? Buy supplements?

NO! NO! NO! Your journey to stress recovery is unique, and I'm here to support you every step of the way, not to tell you what to do.

  • If you are a vegan, a carnivore or an omnivore - I support your decisions 100%.
  • If you hate going to the gym or yoga class, I won't suggest it. We'll find movement or activities that you enjoy to help you be less sedentary.
  • If you want to look at supplements, I can help educate you to options and how to decide, but it is ultimately your choice.

Only you & God know best what works for you and will support your optimal health. I've seen (and experienced) where popular diet, exercise or food trends don't work for everyone, so know that there is no such thing as one size fits all. It takes experimentation and self-awareness to figure out what works best at this point in your health journey.

I do have a strong opinion about ultra-processed foods and novel ingredients. Some people have had difficulty adapting to certain foods & ingredients have been introduced in the last 200 years. (Deep breath ... I can't get into my rant about corporations & regulatory bodies that are supposed to protect public health.)

I advocate for more water, fruits & vegetables. I encourage less processed sugar (in all its forms), processed flour & starch, seed oils, & artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors. If you want to explore clean eating in more depth, after this program we can.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I really have time to do this?

Let me ask you - do you have time to continue NOT to figure out a reasonable work-life balance or to reduce your stress?

Will you make the time to recover from a stress-related health emergency? If you get in an accident due to lack of sleep, will you pay the price? Will you make the time for a family emergency if something happens with your spouse or kids? If your job performance and work relationships suffer because you are burning the candle at both ends, will you deal with the consequences? Why not make the time now, while you have choices and can prevent worst-case scenarios?

What scheduling flexibility is there?

I offer sessions for this program Tuesday - Friday from 8a - 6:30p US Central Time. I have to role model work-life harmony too. :)

What is the refund policy?

A 100% refund is allowed up to 24 hours before the 2nd session. Email notice must be given. Additional details are in the coaching contract.

What needs to be true for me to succeed?

This program is for you if you are very invested in making a lifestyle change and are currently stuck. You just don't know where to start making changes to improve your health or work-life harmony. You are willing to lean into your Christian faith for guidance and health.

I have a question that's not answered here.

That is why I offer a free consult session! I want to ensure that I can answer all of your questions.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes, but only if you ask me during the free consult to send you the payment link. It splits the payment into 2. The second payment is due before the 4th session. Additional details are in the coaching contract or can be asked during the consult.

What if I miss or need to reschedule a session?

Currently, all 6 sessions must be used in 8 weeks. Rescheduling requires at least 24 hours notice via email, otherwise, it is considered as a missed session and can't be rescheduled.

What pretty much guarantees that someone won't have success in this program?

If work continues to be an idol you are willing to sacrifice everything for. If you strongly believe that material success is more important than living a life aligned with Christian values. If you treat this as a diet & exercise program, focusing only on weight loss or physical health. This program is about setting yourself up for improving work-life harmony and holistic health.

If this goes well, can I work with you longer?

Yes! I offer 6 and 12-week programs as continuation options depending on your goals.

Still Have Questions?

It is important to me that I can answer all your questions and address your concerns, which is why I offer a free consultation. I am here to be of service and support your transformation. Ultimately, you and God know what is best for you and your family.

Thank you for spending this time with me. To have read this far down, I know you are troubled by how much work has taken over your life and how physically, mentally, and spiritually drained you are by being pulled in too many directions. I pray that you can see how God is working in your life and hear how the Holy Spirit is whispering guidance for you.

I wish you and your loved ones a blessed day!

Sharon
